Editorial Policies

Editorial standards and scientific integrity

The following framework summarises the principles being implemented before JADIH opens for submissions. Detailed operational procedures, Author Guidelines and Reviewer Guidelines will be formally approved before launch.

Peer review

All research content will be subject to scientific evaluation. Reviewers will be selected for relevant expertise and expected to declare conflicts. The final blind/open review model is still being formalised and is not yet publicly claimed.

Editorial independence

Scientific assessment and publication decisions remain under the independent authority of the editorial structure. RC Editorial provides institutional support but does not determine outcomes for individual manuscripts.

Conflicts of interest

Editors and reviewers will declare relevant financial, professional, academic, personal and institutional conflicts. Recusal and independent decision routes will be used when needed.

Research integrity

JADIH will maintain procedures for plagiarism, fabrication or falsification, redundant publication, inappropriate authorship, image manipulation and peer-review manipulation.

Human research & health data

Research involving participants or identifiable/re-identifiable health data must demonstrate appropriate ethical, legal and privacy safeguards for its design and context.

Responsible AI

AI tools cannot be authors. Human authors, editors and reviewers remain accountable. Confidential manuscripts or review material must not be uploaded to external AI services without appropriate confidentiality guarantees.

Authorship & contributions

Authorship must reflect meaningful intellectual contribution and accountability. JADIH will encourage structured contribution statements and discourage honorary or inappropriate authorship.

Corrections, retractions & appeals

The journal will maintain traceable procedures to correct the scientific record and to handle appeals, complaints, expressions of concern and retractions when appropriate.

Open science & reproducibility

Transparent methods, responsible sharing of data/code/materials, dataset and software citation, ORCID and persistent identifiers will be encouraged where ethical and legally possible.

Publication languages

JADIH will accept complete manuscripts in English and Spanish. Language choice will not determine scientific assessment.

Diamond Open Access

No APCs will be charged to authors and no subscription fees will be charged to readers. The specific reuse licence will be selected and published before submissions open.

Continuous publication

JADIH is planned as an online-only journal using continuous publication within an annual volume rather than waiting for traditional issue assembly.

Pre-launch status. The precise peer-review configuration, detailed workflows, time targets, publication licence and operational checklists remain under development. This page intentionally does not claim policies that have not yet been formally approved.
