Journal of Applied Data Intelligence in Health
From Data to Better Health
An independent international scientific journal transforming health data into rigorous, interpretable and useful evidence for better health decisions.
Data intelligence with a purpose
JADIH — Journal of Applied Data Intelligence in Health — is an international, interdisciplinary scientific journal focused on the responsible transformation of health data into evidence, knowledge and better health decisions.
JADIH brings together health data science, artificial intelligence, biostatistics, real-world data and evidence, predictive and causal analytics, digital health, clinical informatics and other quantitative approaches applied to meaningful health questions.
The journal places particular emphasis on scientific validity, methodological transparency, reproducibility, responsible innovation and real-world relevance. Technology is not considered an end in itself: its value lies in the quality of the knowledge and health impact it can help generate.
What JADIH is being created to achieve
Free to publish. Free to read.
JADIH is being developed as a Diamond Open Access journal. Authors will not pay Article Processing Charges (APCs), and readers will not pay subscription or access fees to read published research.
The objective is to remove financial barriers at both ends of scientific communication while maintaining rigorous editorial and methodological standards.
Scientific publishing in English and Spanish
JADIH will accept full manuscripts in both English and Spanish. Spanish-language articles will include essential metadata in English to support international discoverability.
Science that moves from data to better health
Applied by design
Advanced analytical methods should address a meaningful health or healthcare question.
Methodological rigour
Strong methods, transparent reporting, appropriate validation and reproducibility matter more than technological novelty.
Responsible innovation
Data-intensive methods are considered in relation to bias, generalisability, interpretability, safety and potential health value.
Constructive publishing
Rigorous peer review can be demanding while remaining clear, useful and constructive for authors.

Supporting the next generation of researchers
JADIH is committed to creating genuine opportunities for early-career researchers while maintaining the same scientific standards for every manuscript.
Our objective is not to lower the threshold for publication, but to foster a rigorous, transparent and constructive editorial environment in which promising researchers can develop their scientific communication and peer-review skills.

- Peer-review training
- Early Career Editorial Board
- JADIH Young Investigator Award
Independent scientific decision-making
JADIH is published by RC Editorial, Spain, while scientific assessment and publication decisions remain under the independent authority of the journal's editorial structure.
Editorial decisions will be based on scientific relevance, methodological quality, integrity and alignment with the journal's scope. Commercial, institutional or personal interests must not determine the outcome of individual manuscripts.
